Ever feel like you’re constantly overwhelmed by stress and anxiety? Like no matter what you do, there’s this nagging pressure that never seems to let up? We all know what stress and anxiety feel like. The sleepless nights, the constant worrying, the feeling that you can’t catch a break. It’s exhausting, isn’t it? You might have tried all the usual advice: meditation, exercise, even just trying to “think positive.” But nothing seems to work long-term.

Why is this happening? Why do stress and anxiety have such a strong grip on our lives? Here’s the thing: these feelings are often symptoms of a deeper issue. It’s kinda like having weeds in your garden. You can keep trimming them, but unless you pull them out by the roots, they’ll just keep coming back.

The root issue here is suppressed negative feelings. These are the emotions that we push down and hide because they’re too painful or difficult to deal with. Imagine trying to stuff a growing pile of laundry into a closet, shutting the door quickly to keep it all hidden. 

Eventually, that pile will burst out, making an even bigger mess. These suppressed feelings build up over time, creating invisible chains that hold you back and keep you trapped in a cycle of stress and anxiety. When you suppress these feelings, they don’t just disappear. 

Instead, they linger in your subconscious, influencing your thoughts, behaviors, and overall well-being. They manifest as constant worry, a sense of dread, and physical tension. It’s like carrying a heavy backpack filled with rocks; every step feels harder, and the weight wears you down. This ongoing internal struggle drains your energy, impacts your health, and keeps you from experiencing true peace and happiness.

Part of the root cause is also resisting the problem and beating yourself up. Think about it – when you say ‘no’ to your stress and anxiety, you’re actually holding onto it more tightly. It’s like trying to push a beach ball underwater; the more you push, the stronger it fights back. By resisting these feelings, you inadvertently give them more power over your life. Similarly, beating yourself up for feeling this way only adds to the burden. It’s kinda like adding more weight to that already heavy backpack.

You might think, “I just need to pray more,” “I need to believe more,” “I need to confess more,” “I need to fix my health,” or “I need to change my mindset.” While these practices are valuable, they often don’t work because they don’t address the root cause. It’s kinda like trying to patch up a leaky roof without fixing the underlying damage. The leaks will keep coming back until you address the real issue beneath the surface.

Let me share a story about one of my students, Sarah, who’s part of our Miracle Breakthrough Blueprint program. Sarah was always stressed out. Picture Sarah, a woman with a heart full of dreams but a mind constantly clouded by anxiety. She had a demanding job as a project manager at a bustling tech company, where every deadline felt like a ticking time bomb. Her desk was perpetually cluttered with files and sticky notes, each one a reminder of the countless tasks she had to juggle. At home, the pressure didn’t ease. Family responsibilities weighed heavily on her shoulders. She felt like she was on a never-ending treadmill, running to meet the expectations of her children, spouse, and even her parents.

Sarah often found herself waking up in the middle of the night, her mind racing with worries. The quiet, dark hours would be filled with thoughts of unfinished projects and unmet expectations. She would lie there, staring at the ceiling, feeling the weight of the world pressing down on her chest. No matter what stress-relief technique she tried—praying more, reading the Bible, attending church services, even talking to friends—nothing seemed to last. The relief was always temporary, like a fleeting breeze on a scorching day.

One day, after another sleepless night and an exhausting day at work, Sarah decided to dig deeper into her feelings. She sat down in her favorite chair, the one by the window that overlooked her small, but beautiful garden. The evening sun cast a warm glow over her, and for a moment, she felt a glimmer of peace. 

She took a deep breath and began to journal, pouring out her thoughts and emotions onto the pages. As she wrote, something profound began to emerge. Her stress wasn’t just about her busy life; it was about the suppressed feelings she had been holding onto. She realized that deep down, she believed she wasn’t good enough. This belief was like an invisible chain, tightly wrapped around her heart, keeping her bound to anxiety.

Sarah’s breakthrough came when she joined the Miracle Breakthrough Blueprint. It wasn’t about finding another quick fix or adding another stress management tool to her arsenal. Through the Blueprint, she learned to address the root issue: her suppressed negative feelings. She discovered that by releasing these feelings, she could transform her life. She discovered that she had the inborn ability to release these feelings and their negative influences from her life. By doing so, she stopped the internal battle and found permanent happiness and health.

She learned to see herself through God’s eyes, full of worth and love. She remembered the words of Jesus, “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). But how can you love your neighbor if you don’t first love yourself?

With this new perspective, Sarah began a journey of self-discovery and self-compassion guided by the principles of grace and God’s unconditional love. She started to let go of the unrealistic expectations she had placed on herself and began to appreciate her efforts and achievements, no matter how small.

When Sarah began to love herself, everything changed. She wasn’t just coping with stress; she was transforming her entire life. She noticed a shift in how she approached her daily tasks. Instead of seeing them as huge obstacles, she saw them as opportunities to grow and learn. Her interactions with her family became more joyful and less burdened by the need to be perfect. She allowed herself to make mistakes and to learn from them without harsh self-judgment.

Sarah found peace in the chaos, joy in the mundane, and a renewed sense of purpose. She began to prioritize activities that nurtured her soul, like reading her favorite books, spending time in nature, and engaging in creative hobbies she had long abandoned. This wasn’t just a fleeting change. It was a profound, lasting transformation. The invisible chains of self-doubt and unworthiness fell away, replaced by a deep, abiding sense of love and acceptance.

Imagine waking up each day with a heart full of love for yourself, knowing that you are worthy and cherished just as you are. This was Sarah’s new reality, a reality shaped by the grace and teachings she embraced through the Miracle Breakthrough Blueprint. And it can be yours too. It’s not about adding another stress management technique to your list. It’s about transforming the way you see yourself and embracing the love that God has for you.

  2. Learn to Release: Instead of suppressing or coping with these feelings, learn to let them go. Embrace your inborn ability to release negative emotions and free yourself from their influence. This is the key to finding lasting peace and happiness.
